Covid-19 Update

The Diocese of NC has just stated that in-person worship is not recommended through the end of January due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant. Therefore, all Sunday worship reservations have been canceled as we immediately cut back to the bare minimum skeletal crew needed to provide livestreaming Sunday Eucharist.  The only participants allowed at this time will be the livestreaming technicians, one musician, one Altar Guild member, a Lector, and Fr. Bruce.

We are sorry that all reservations to participate in Sunday Eucharist this Sunday and Sundays through January 31 must be canceled.  Looking at the bright side, we anticipate this to be quite temporary, and we are able to continue with livestreaming our services that so many of you have become accustomed to watching.

Lenten Book Study

Our next Adult Study/Formation class will delve into Seek and You Will Find, written by The Rev. Rhonda Mawhood Lee of the Diocese of NC, whom many of you know.  The book is an accessible guide to prayer.  You can find the book for purchase on Amazon, Cokesbury, and Christian Book.

Don’t be surprised if The Rev. Rhonda joins us for our first session on March 1 at 11:00 a.m.  In the meantime, read the Introduction and Chapter One.  Sessions will continue thereafter for five weeks.  As we get closer to the March 1st date, the Zoom link to participate will be disseminated.

Red Door Recipes Cookbook

The Red Door Recipes Cookbook, in celebration of St. Thomas’ 125th Anniversary, is ready for sale! We hope that you will be as proud of these cookbooks as we are!

The cookbooks will be available for sale most Sundays, and the cost is $20 per cookbook. You can also contact Micki Van Orden (mavanorden@gmail.com) to reserve a cookbook, or send a check to the church office, with a notation of “cookbook” on the memo line of the check. These cookbooks make great gifts!
